Get ready to our baroque ball costumé “Cousins at Court, Dance & Music for Louis XIV & Charles II” led by Talitha MacKenzie with Tiffany Vong at the harpsichord on Monday, the 23rd of March. Come and learn the steps and dances that will be performed at the great night of pastel dreams…
MacKenzie currently lectures in Historical Dance & Music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (Glasgow) and recently founded the group Rossignol, members of which have performed with her at Holyrood Palace and Stirling Castle. Since 2017, she has organised a series of Bicentennial Celebrations featuring the work of renowned Dance Band leader Nathaniel Gow & Edinburgh Dancing Master Barclay Dun, first at the Edinburgh Assembly Rooms and now at the Institut Français d'Écosse, where she teaches regular Quadrille classes (dances for four couples in a square). She is a board member of the Historical Dance Society and the Traditional Dance Forum of Scotland.
