Situated in what is today the French region of Burgundy, Bibracte was a Gaulish oppidum or fortified city of the late Iron Age. It is one of the earliest protohistoric cities in Wester Europe. On the occasion of a visiting delegation from l'Académie du Morvan and in collaboration with the EPCC Bibracte, the museum that manages the eponymous archeological site, the Institut français d'Ecosse welcomes Jean-Loup Flouest to give a talk about this grand site de France. A protohistorian and scholar of the Iron Age, Flouest will unearth the significance of this European heritage site.
